With the Love Story cover, Hélène Magnússon has created a real Icelandic lace yarn in the hope that it will help to revive the Icelandic lace tradition and breathe a new life into it.

It is spun from fleeces that Hélène selects by hand and sorted one after the other after the first shearing of the Icelandic lambs. The carefully processed result is an Icelandic lambswool yarn of incomparable softness and delicacy.

Love Story is particularly suitable for delicate, essential lace shawls.

Gilitrutt Tviband

100% Icelandic lambswool

With Gilitrutt, Hélène Magnússon has created a unique Icelandic yarn made from soft 100% Icelandic lambswool. It is spun from nonwovens, which Hélène selects and sorts individually by hand after the first shearing of the Icelandic lambs. The carefully crafted result is Icelandic lambswool yarn of unparalleled softness and delicacy. The yarn is spun into two threads and thus gains elasticity.

Despite its delicacy, it has the lightness and warmth expected from Icelandic wool yarn.

This versatile yarn can be knitted with a variety of needle sizes and is suitable for lightweight sweaters, as well as scarves and mittens, and even baby clothes.

Katla Sokkaband

99% pure Icelandic lambswool, 1% silk

Sport / DK sock yarn, 4-ply, not superwash

100 g = approx. 220 m (240 yds) in a strand

Needle size 2.00 - 4.00mm (US 1 - 2.5)

Tension 24-32 sts by 30-48 rows = 10cm (4 ")

With Katla, Héléne Magnésson has created the first Icelandic Sport / DK yarn and sock yarn made from soft Icelandic lambswool with a weft of silk (1%).

Katla is just as strong and durable as any other sock yarn. This versatile yarn can be knitted with a variety of needle sizes and is just as suitable for beautiful socks as it is for light sweaters, scarves and gloves, and is even suitable for baby clothes.
